General Update
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: silence

it's been a while...

The South Jersey Ving Tsun Group on meetup.com may be no more as of 01.30.11 due to a lack of interest. I will continue to teach Ving Tsun but only via private lessons as outlined on the vtkfsystem website. Honestly it will be nice to have more time to focus on writing my book and pursuing my studies in holistic health, metaphysics, and other martial arts disciliplines. I am considering a radio advertising campaign to promote my private lesson curriculum. We'll see what happens.

"Withdraw into yourself and look; and if you do not find yourself beautiful as yet, do as does the sculptor of a statue...cut away all that is excessive, straighten all that is crooked, bring light to all that is shadowed...do not cease until there shall shine out on you the Godlike Splendour of Beauty; until you see temperance surely established in the stainless shrine"

(Plotinus, Ennead, I, 6, 9).

a project
Topic: Metaphysics

I am working on a book with the premise of applying the Ving Tsun way of thinking to the topic of metaphysics, so far I have written about 2000 words, not a lot but it's a start. I ask all of my friends and students to send me your positive energy and encouragement so that I can finish this project on or before 11.13.10.

Thank you

get the kung fu!
Topic: Ving Tsun
Students;

We are having a great time training down here in Maryland with your Kung Fu uncles. I know there are a variety of reasons why many of you could not make it to this event. At the same time I must add that in the future please try your best to make it to the next major event. These opportunities to meet and touch hands with multiple generations of quality Ving Tsun practitioners are very rare. Always try your best to take advantage of opportunities to be exposed to quality Kung Fu. Gradually Ip Man's student are reaching the point where they will once again be training with their teacher, which means we will no longer be able to train with them. We need to appreciate them while they are here.

Wisdom
Topic: Metaphysics

"The possession of Knowledge, unless accompanied by a
manifestation and expression in Action, is like the
hoarding of precious metals-a vain and foolish thing.
Knowledge, like wealth, is intended for Use. The Law of
Use is Universal, and he who violates it suffers by
reason of his conflict with natural forces."--The Kybalion.

some things worth pondering...

Every wonderful sight will vanish; every sweet word will fade, But do not be disheartened, The source they come from is eternal, growing, Branching out, giving new life and new joy. Why do you weep? The source is within you And this whole world is springing up from it." -- Rumi
